Have Recurrent Ventral Hernia, Seroma, Abdominal Pain.

I think I have a recurrent ventral hernia . I still have a seroma from the last surgery performed on 03-01-13. In addition to that appearing larger and more abdominal pain , I ve noticed much louder intestinal gurgling. I am enbarrassed to go back to the surgeon. Should I see him again (he had done 1 bowel obstruction and 3 hernia surgeries since January 2012).

Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

It is never embarrassing to go back ty your surgeon should you have recurrent problems. I would suggest you get an appointment from him and also get CT scan done if necessary. This can pin point any area of adhesion or narrowing that is causing your symptoms, apart from the ventral hernia. You might be put on observation before sometime before any active management is initiated.

Hope this helps
