Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello there,

Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.

As you have mentioned that your daughter has suffered from runny nose, cough for about 3 weeks now and has started running a fever along with body aches. She was diagnosed with flu earlier.

Children who have flu or other viral infections maybe predisposed to getting a superimposed bacterial infection.
Since she has developed a new fever, there are other possibilities like her developing sinusitis or an ear infection or even PNEUMONIA.
I would recommend for her to have a complete examination to be done by her pediatrician to rule out these. Your doctor may order several tests like CBC, CRP, Urine analysis and also a chest xray if needed based on his examination.

Hope your daughter gets well soon.
Best wishes.
Regards,
Dr. Sumeet.
