Have Severe Cold, Headaches, Runny Nose, Cough, Lower Abdominal Pain. Diagnosed With Tonsillitis. Will I Get Better?

I've had a persistent cold for 5-6 months now. I got diagnosed with tonsillitis 2 weeks ago, finished antibiotics, but the cough, headaches, uncomfortable throat and runny nose has only gotten worse. I cough up phlegm constantly. Once in a while I'll get these sharp stabbing pains in my lower abdomen. I have a feeling there's something wrong with me, but the doctors ignore my "common cold complaint" and send me on my way. I'm sick and tired and frustrated and need answers.

There may be concommitent Allergic Rhinosinusitis with a post nasal drip which may be the cause. This would also occur if persistent chronic sinusitis is present. It would be best to see a ENT surgeon for your throat and nasal problems.he sharp stabbing abdominal pains need to be investigated after a physical examination. The cause thus found by the doctor can then be specifically treated.
