Have Severe Pain In The Thigh And Groin Area. All Test Done. Taking Celebrex. Have COPD. What This Can Be?
I am having severe (yet intermittent) pain (throbbing, stabbing) in my left thigh and groin area. This has been going on for nearly a year. First, bursitis was diagnosed. Pain got worse so asked for an MRI and then tendenosis (with minimus and maximus something or other) so was sent to PT for several weeks. No change and pain got worse. Just had x-ray and bone scan ... nothing conclusive and now the doctor is ordering a CT scan. Meanwhile, I'm a week into taking Celebrex (no change in pain). Can't put weight on the left leg, can't turn over in bed without pain, it even hurts when I'm sitting still now. I had full hysterectomy some years ago. I'm 59 years old with COPD. Any ideas about what might be going on? Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks, Diana
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The severe pain in the leg and groin could be due to a muscle spasm, an injury or a joint related problem in the area. If rest and pain killers do not help then get an MRI scan done for proper diagnosis. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
