Hello,
Thanks for posting this question in this web site
The following data would be very essential for a better response from a neurologist
Your age, medicines that you use, do you have
diabetes, cardiac problem, or kidney problem or not.
How ever my opinin is as follows
The cause of headache are many and migrain is one of them and migrain automatically becomes better with age. The recent change of character of headache could be due to a different cause. In a patient who has
sleep apnea, poor treatment may result in excesive carbon dioxide in the blood and can result in headache. So i advise you to check with your sleep consultant to make sure that your sleep apnea is under control. Apart from that, the othet possibility in elderly (i donot know your age) could be
temporal arteritis. This can be ruled by simple
blood test, called ESR. ESR will be very high in this condition and it can be managed by
steroids.A clinical and neurological examination will tell us if a
CT scan of the brain is required or not. Regarding the few neck jerks during sleep can be a normal physiological one. But make sure that you donot have these jerks during wakefulness, i mean during office and working time. If that is so, the possibility of
myoclonus is high and you need an EEG test to rule a possibility of that. Regarding he buckling part, i do agree with your local doctor and you can do vblood tests like serum potassium to see if it is low or not. I advise you to meet a local neurologist who can help you.
Hope this will help you
