Have Spots Of Blood During Urination. Had Sex Earlier After The Periods. Whats Going On?

Hi, I just came off my cycle May 18, I had sex May 22. It was slightly painful, maybe because after a while I was getting a bit dry. Today, May 23, I went to the restroom, and after I urinated I wiped and saw a very small amount of blood. After a second wipe there wasn't anymore blood, but after I urinated again the same thing happened. What is going on? What should i do?

Hello and welcome to HCM.

Thank you for your query.

Keeping the information and history provided in your query, we can have a few possibilities:
-Urinary tract infections (UTI) which will have other symptoms associated with it
-Bleeding due to coitus (which is normal)
-Sexually transmitted infections

Although the causes are quite a few, pregnancy will have to be ruled out. I request you to conduct a home pregnancy test 2 weeks after the 22nd of May, with an early morning urine sample, which would yield an accurate result. You could repeat this 2-3 times to confirm the result.

The next thing would be to notice any other symptoms like burning while urinating, itching around genitals, frequent urination, discharge, etc; are all signs of some other underlying problems. For which you will have to visit a doctor.

For now, I would advise you to abstain from sexual intercourse for a while.

I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications. I would gladly help you.

Best wishes.
