Have Stitches On Ankle With Yellow Bump. Have No Feeling On Foot. Healing Time?
I had to get like 18 stitches on my ankle where it connects to my foot it s really bad, it s been pudding a little bit but now there is a yellow bump. Like a puss bump is that normal? And u have no feeling on the top of my foot and left side of it, will that feeling come. Back? The orthopedic surgeon said it s pretty deep and he thinks I may have cut a joint whats that mean?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. Presuming that injury was on the lateral part of left ankle. As you got 18 stitches means injury was extensive so you might have got fracture or ligament rupture along tendons or nerves underlying. Since yellow bump may be a swelling with pus containing in it. Inferior tibio-fibular ligament or lateral ligament got injury. Without C T scan & Xray of effected part, not possible to evaluate the diagnosis. Consult one more Orthopedic surgeon and get his opinion. Good luck. Dr. HET
