Have Swelling And Bleeding In The Foot After The Screws Being Removed Recently

I just had my hardware with 5 screws taken out of my ankle after it has been in there for 18 years. It has been just about a month and my foot is very swollen and it feels like a knife is piercing into the top near my last 2 smaller toes and blood is rushing out. I can walk on it fine but can not straighten my foot out.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As the screws are removed after a long time there would have been a damage to the surrounding tissues,it would have caused the inflamation.
You may need to have a physiotherapy and medicines for cure of the pain.
I advise you to consult your surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have MRI for diagnosis .
wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
