Have Swelling In Jaws, ESR Level, Lymphocytes, Eosinophils And Leucocytes Abnormal. Is It Salivary Gland Infection?

Hi Doctor,
I am a 24 yr old recently married woman. (before my marriage i used periods preponing tablets. and now for last 2 months unusual periods blood with clots also happening).
I am having a swelling in front of my jaw area...which is painless... once antiboitic used..the swelling goes and after some days its re- occurring.. My ESR level is = 65... lymphocytes=42 %... Polymorphs = 56 % Eosinophills = 02% and Heamoglobin Content = 13.2 ..and Total Leucocyte count = 0000 cells /cerrum.
Doctors said its salivary gland infection... but I am confuced and worried.... PLEASE HELP.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Salivary gland infection usually presents with swelling near the jaw. Your blood reports definitely suggest an infection. I suggest you get a prescription for antibiotics for a week to 10 days. If the swelling does not reduce after antibiotic therapy, then further testing may be required. You might have to undergo a biopsy of the swelling.
