Have Swollen Ankle. Have Colon Cancer. Taking Zinnat, Erbirtux And Irronotican. Could Zinnat Be The Cause?

Hi
My mother is on zinnat 500mg
She has colon cancer and is currently on erbirtux and irronotican.
She is currently being treated for some sort of infection.
She has 3 fistulae.
Recently her left foot, where she has trouble walking due to the tumor infiltrating her left iliac muscle, supposedly, is swollen from her ankle down.
Could the zinnat cause this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,Your mother is on zinnat, erbitux, irronotican. she is a patient of colon cancer, 3 fistulae, infiltration in iliac muscle, and swelling of ankle.
Now there is no point in screening the cause, if the edema is toomuch you can try to reduce the edema . i usually prescribe diuretics for edema. Always try to minimise the symptoms to make her comfartable.
The cause of edema could be infiltration of neuro vascular complex at the hip bone. Thank you.
