Have Swollen Epitrochlear Nodes. No Medication Till Now. What To Do For This Problem?
I noticed a painless swelling of sorts on the inside crease of my elbow ( closest to body) I've viewed pictures of swollen epitrochlear nodes that appear as actual firm looking lumps. I wouldn't describe mine as such, but I am very worried as to what this could be... when my arm is bent at 90 degrees it's not noticable or actually felt but when I extend my arm all the way out with palm facing up, you can feel it and somewhat see it. It kind of starts right above the elbow bone and extend kind of in a small triangle up towards the crease. I have been prodding, pushing and playing with it for the past two days to the point of it now feeling sore and probably a bit more swollen than it was to begin with.
the lump could be small epitrochlera (supratrochlear) lymph node, but also can be soft tissue lump. Do you have any inflammation or infection in your hand?
I do not thing that any doctor can give you accurate diagnosis without examining it
my advise is to leave it alone for few days and take anti inflammatory tablets such as ibuprofen for couple of days to see if it will settle on its own
take care
