Have Swollen Glands On The Right Side Neck. Have Fertility Problem And Anemic. What To Do?
Hi, recently I have has blood tests carried out and was informed I was anaemic. Following the ferrous fumurate tablets I was advised that I that I should continue on iron tablets ferrous sulphate as my iron levels still needed a boost. The doctor said I was being referred for possible haemoglobinopathy. Not sure what that means but I have also have persisten swollen glands on the right side of my neck. Doctor said this is nothing to worry about. Also suffer from left side pelvic pain around my cervix. Doctor said that this is nothing to worry about as scan was clear. However had 5+ fertility problem and finally placed on 6 month waiting list for IVF. Not sure if all these are related.
Hello, Thanks for writing. You have two questions. 1. You have been diagnosed as possible haemoglobinopathy. For this there is a simple blood tst known as electrophoresis. This will accurately tell if you hemoglobin molecule is alright. 2. Left side pelvic pain with normal scan is nothing to worry if you are considering ivf. The swollen neck glands may need to be seen by your doctor. Hope this helps.
