Have Swollen Thigh And Knee. Had Been Running. What Can Be The Cause For This?

Hi! Running season has started. After taking a couple of months off, I started running 7.75 miles a day three days a week. I've recently noticed that my left thigh is swollen causing a little bit of swelling around my knee but not the calf. What can cause this? I took five days off from running and then ran again two days in a row and it's swollen again.

Hi! Thanks for your query. Probably the muscle strain is occurring because of irregular running schedule. Try to run short distances and slowly increase the mileage. Should feel better.
