Have To Delay The Period For Which Norethisterone Was Taken. Taking Microgyon Also. Is It Wrong?

hi, i'm currently on microgynon 30 which is a birth control pills. My last pills in yesterday night. I went to a pharmacy cuz I wanted to delay my period as there is a funeral going on. However the pharmacist give me norethisterone to delay my period and I just consume the first pill about 15 minutes ago. I heard that women on pills should not take norethisterone to delay period. So what I'm suppose to do? Vomit it out?

Hello,
In fact there was no need to take norethisterone as you could have achieved the delaying of your periods by microgynon itself.
Normally microgynon is taken daily for 21 days and then thete is one week off.
During this period withdrawl bleeding takes place and you start taking microgynon again.
In situations where you require delaying of periods, you don't give a gap of one week after finishing your pills and straightaway go for next pack of pills.
You can continue it for 21 days and then after stopping it in next cycle, you get withdrawl bleeding.
There is no problem now.
You can go ahead with microgynon.
Thanks
