Have Uterus Report, Prescribed Raplif. Can Any Online Doctor Help Me To Read It?

Report of my TRUS on 20.9.2013 for prostate is 38.6x42x36mm with volume 30.59ml with lobe bulging into base of urinary bladder .Intravesical portion measure 1.2 cm. Tell me which is grade? An other test PSA IS 0. 24NG/ML.Dr suggest me Cap Raplif 8mg and Tab Dutas 0.5 mg.Now tell me whether need to operate.Beause some time i have to go urine every 30 min some time normal. Waiting ur reply?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
As far as concerned about grade this is enlargement of prostate grade 3 ( out of 4) and 12 cm bulging is too big ,so any time retention of urine may be.
In my opinion raplif 8 mg and dutasteride 0.5 mg ( raplif & dutas) will not help because size has grown more then normal till drugs can act.
So surgery is the only option in your case in my opinion .
Biopsy is necessary after surgery for further evaluation .
However it may happen that few days you can wait for surgery with the help of drugs. Normal size of prostate is 18 c c ( ml)
