Have X-ray Don. Was Suggest Re Xray Because Of Inflammatory Process In Right Upper Lung. What Does It Mean?

hi my x-ray result is there are patchy densities seen in the right upper lung field. the rest of the lung fields are clear. the tranchea is in the midline. the heart is not enlarged. the pulmonary vessels are within normal limits. both hemidiaphragms are distinct. the osseous thoracic cage reveals no significant bony abnormality.
conclusion: an inflammatory process in the right upper ling field.
suggest re- xray 10-14 days after for follow-up study.
what does this means?

Hi and welcomet to HCM.
It means that there is an inflammatory proces which is usally caused by infection(in this case probably bacterial). SOme other disease can cause lung inflammation such as bronchitis, emphysema, autoimmune disorderd but you should rule out pneumonia first. if you have any symptoms such as cough, fever and fatigue you should take certain medicines for it.ask your gp about it. This finding isnt serious and it will probably regress in week or 2. WIsh you good health.
