Having Seborrheic Dermatitis. Suggested Sebowash. Can Other Shampoo Be Used, Does This Cause Hair Fall?

hello doctor,
1)i have recently found that i have Seborrheic Dermatitis..the consltant suggested me sebowash twice in a week..
can i use other shampoo in that same week...?(my symptoms-crust of yellow skin,itching,redness in some areas
2)does Seborrheic Dermatitis cause hair fall.? if so will the hair grow back......?

Hello,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

Seborrheic dermatitis is an internal eczema.

It occurs sensitivity to a fungus known as p.ovale.

Sebowash shampoo contains steroid which will help in reducing crust ,itching and redness .You must use that.

You can combine it with another antifungal shampoo.

Many dermatologist prefer giving 8x and sebowash shampoo on alternate days.You can try this combination.

There can be slight hair fall which will revert back when the condition gets treated.
