Having Chronic Neck, Shoulder And Hand Pain. Scheduled For Cortisone Injection. What Does The Finding Mean?

I have had a c56 c 6/7 fusion five yrs ago. Living with chronic neck , shoulder and hand pain since surgery but has worsened. Just got MRI results back today Of c spine and shows ...tiny residual tear or fissure c5/6 and mild degenerative changes involving lower cervical facets worse on left. Is there anything that can be done to help me. I live with constant pain. Am being seen by pain mgt. I also have tiny peri neural cysts along the course of right exiting c8 and t 1 nerve roots. Thanks for your help in addition I have a moderate herniated disc at t 8/9 with pain radiating up and around middle of ribs and high center of back. I am scheduled for cortisone injection 5/17 of that area. How long do these injections last and what results should I expect. I sent my MRI of t spine via mail to Robbie at your Florida center last week. I just had MRI of neck yesterday.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The MRI finding are suggestive of degenerative changes in the cervical spine which might be causing a compression of the nerve roots. This is causing the symptoms that you are having.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
