Hello, and thank you for using Healthcare Magic!
The symptoms that you describe are not terribly concerning. In other words, although you may be feeling a bit ill, I do not think it is likely that there is anything seriously wrong. However, I cannot say for sure since I have not examined you in person.
It sounds like your
appendectomy went well, and that your recovery was uneventful. It doesn't sound to me like the current
fever is related to that surgery, since it has been about eight weeks. The
dizziness that you feel while defecating indicates that you may be a bit dehydrated, so I would recommend drinking a large amount of water for the next few days. I am guessing that the
dehydration and slight fever you describe are caused by a viral illness, and that over the next several days you will begin to feel better.
The most important thing for now is to drink water all the time. You can take
tylenol as needed for fevers (just follow the instructions on the package). If your symptoms worsen or do not improve please make an appointment with your doctor to be evaluated.
I hope I have given you some useful information, and wish you the best of health.
Sincerely,
Dr. Kinney
