Hi and thanks so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms since starting amaryl. Amaryl is another glucose lowering drug. Combined with metformin, it can drive the sugars low(hypoglycemia) if not well managed and account for symptoms like these(more serious like feeling as to faint/pass out, sweating, rapid heart rate, etc). However, only glucose monitoring would be able to say whether these are suggestive of low glucose or not.

If the glucose measuring doesn't suggest low sugars and the symptoms are mild-moderate, they could simply be linked to amaryl and they should slowly fade away as you get used to it. In this case, monitor over a few weeks before making a decision.

I hope you find this helpful and provides enough information for you to make and informed decision on how to tackle this. Thank you so much for having used our services and we do hope to see you next time if need be. I wish you good health.
