Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I seem to get mild chest pain in the middle of my chest with occasionally a slight shortness of breath when I eat something really sugary (Like sour patch kids at the moment). What could cause this ? I'm 53 yrs old, 6'1", 190 lbs fairly decent shape.
hello, I have gone through your query. Thanks for using HCM. your pain may be because of acid reflux leading to oesophagitis. But you should get your ECG done to rule out heart pain.Occassionally heart pain be deceptive and present like this.In case of doubt you should undergo stress test.Once heart problem is ruled out you may focus on acid reflux, take combination of rabeprazole and domperidone for 2 to 4 weeks. If your problem still persists then please consult gastroenterologist for further work up, My best wishes Dr.Rajesh Teli,MD.
