Having Problem In C5 And C6 In My Lower Neck And Shoulder. Getting Headache And Intense Pain. What To Do?
hi im currently seeing a chiropractor for problems with my c5 c6 in my lower neck ive been getting headaches and have intense pain in my shoulder joints it started with the left shoulder and now its both but after only one vist today the pain in right shoulder was unbearable with any movement at work is it possible my shoulder pain is steming from the lower neck
I am afraid you might a careful clinical evaluation and the expertise of preferably a neurosurgeon. Management shall depend on the particular causal mechanism of these symptoms. This could range from degenerative bone disease like osteoarthirtis, rheumatoid arthris or some systemic disease, a growth within or outside the body of the spinal bones (vertebrae), compression of given nerve roots, or even a pain that has its origin in a different area but mimics the neck region.
Common primary headaches called tension headaches could present themselves as such thus necessity for a careful clinical evaluation. X rays of the spine and an MRI could be great help.
Thanks and hope this helps as I wish you the best of health, Kind regards.
