Having Severe Back Pain, Feeling Nauseous With Need To Burp. Had No Bowel Movement For Weeks

I'm a 16 year old female and I am currently having the WORST upper back/rib pain I have ever experienced. It's causing me to feel nauceous and I keep thinking I need to burp but I feel like I may possibly throw up if I do. What is causing this excruciating pain? Also, I should throw in that I haven't had a normal bowel movement in over 3 weeks. Can you please help me??

Hi there .

According to your symptoms you are probably suffering from what is called GERD ( Gastro esophageal reflux disease).
Meaning that the acid in your stomach is regurgitating back to your food pipe and causing all these symptoms .

I would suggest you to kindly consult a good gastroenterologist and get an endoscopy done .

Avoid spicy food altogether.
Start an antacid like Esmoprazole .
Take 2 glasses of cold milk everyday .
Mucaine gel syrup will help a lot .

As for your bowel movement I would suggest you to start Ispaghula ( Psyllium Husk ) everday with breakfast .

I hope my advice has helped
Good luck
