Having Severe Calf Pain. Had Left Total Hip Replacement. Took Injection. What Can Be Done?

I previously wrote about having had left total hip replacement and having severe calf pain, since then have seen physiatrist as well as neurosurgeon and being seen at pain clinic, due to had MRI which showed herniation at l4-5 level along with disc bulging I also have herniation a T9-10. I was told pain inhaling in lower back and calf is not from back may be bad hip. I have been struggling to get answer from anyone and still in severe pain which is debilitating. What should I do next. I recently had injection in back but seems to have made it worse. I can not afford to keep going to all these doctors and no answer. The doctor who did hip replacement thought the sciatic nerve was being compressed.

Hello,

I have studied your case.

I will advise to undergo EMG-NCV studies , that will help in locating cause and level of nerve compression. you also need expert clinical assesment for locating nerve lesion.
I think its l4-5 disc herniation which is main cause of radicular pain.

Hope I have answered your query, let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care.
