Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
It can be due to sleeping on one side for long time. I would recommend you to take tablet Brufen if pain is very severe. If this pain improve then its ok, otherwise you should show it to a orthopaedic surgeon and get your cervical spine X ray. This will give us information if there is any nerve compression is present, then you may need to avoid taking very big pillow, and take pregabalin and Methylcobalamine.
