Having Urge To Urinate But Not Passing Also Having Swelling In Feet And Calves. Visit To Specialist Required?

I am concerned about kidney problems I have been having problems, feeling like I need to go to the restroom a lot but not much evacuation. I occasionally take a prescription water pill but I can t seem to get the swelling out of my feet and calves wondering if I need to see a specialist

Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have urge to pass urine and oedema over feet and legs.

Please consult qualified Nephrologist for clinical evaluation and following basic tests done
1) Urine Routine and Culture to rule out infection.
2) Ultrasound scanning of the abdomen to rule out any renal paranchymal disease

Please take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefexine along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Taking drugs like Flavoxate will help to reduce urge to pass urine .
