Based on the symptoms, the most likely diagnosis is seizures. So, I agree with your doctor's diagnosis.
Partial seizures can cause tongue and
facial numbness.
T2W hyperintense lesions on
MRI of brain are not suggestive of a serious disease.
As of now, you should be on anti-seizure medications, such as
oxcarbazepine.
This would reduce the chances of seizure recurrence.
