Heaviness In Legs After Walking For Several Steps, Cant Stand Too Long. What Could Be This?

for years I have had problems of heaviness in both my legs after walking up several steps . my legs always felt like they were in cement blocks , so Iwould stop for a few minutes to regain some strength to continue my climb .I never felt this heaviness while walking on flat levels , so at first it didn't cause me any real concern . but when It happened over and over again I mentioned it to my doctor at the time .He onlyspoke to me about what I was there to see him for . through the years I continued to mention it to other doctors , but no one took me seriously because no one bothered to examin the cause . now I am a senior ( 74 )and my knees hurt like a tooth ache at times and I'm told I have osteoarthritis after tests not really related to my legs or my knees . I wear socks that are not tight yet they leave a ring around my leg .and now I can't stand too long because my legs would start to hurt and if i sit too long it would take afew minutes before i could take a step to start walking ! can you steer me in the right direction ???

Hi,
It seems that along with osteo artheritis you might be having Osteoporosis and osteomalacia as well giving rise to this problem.
There is a chance of having neuritis as well.
Take high dose of Calcium, Vitamin A and D supplements.
Take B1 B6 B12 injections or capsules.
If require go investigations for some vascular problem like Varicose vein or Deep vein thrombosis.
Ok and take care.
