Heavy Bleeding After Getting D&C Done. Now, Having Heavy Brown Discharge. Pregnancy Test Negative. Reason?
Hi,
I had a D&C 3 months ago in May. I had light bleeding for a week and a half after. Then a month later, in mid June I got my period which lasted a month, and was extremely heavy bleeding. I took some iron pills occasionally because of the heavy bleeding. I stopped bleeding on July 5th, approximately 3 weeks from the start of my period. I figured it was heavy menstrual bleeding, and I would get my period like normal this month. 2 days ago I began feeling heavy nausea with headaches, and extreme fatigue, followed by heavy brown discharge (not spotting). The pregnancy test I took today was negative.
I am not sure as to when I will even get my period now because of the irregularity caused by the D&C and my extremely long and heavy period last month. I would really appreciate any answers. Thank You.

Hi, thanks for asking on HCM.
Slight irregularity in periods is very common after D&C. But, if the bleeding is too heavy, its a matter of concern. I will suggest you to get an ultrasound of uterus done to find any debris inside the cavity. If it comes out to be positive, then you may need some medicine or repeat D&C to remove that and avoid future complications.
