Heavy Bleeding With Pain And Cramping. Thick Purple Discoloration Line Near Cervix. Should I Worry ?

I'm 31 years old.
my period is normally very regular;
29 day cycle with very heavy bleeding for 4-5 days & painful cramping.

Last month my period was 2 days early (never happens) & extremely light basically spotting with no cramping. I only had to use panty liners for 2 days. Id normally have to double up on the strongest flow pad 4 the first few days.

Now I'm;
CD31, no period, no spotting but neg hpt.
Plenty of thick cottage cheese looking cm.
Looked @cervix for 1st time with mirror I see what looks like a very thick bluish purple discolouration line,
vertically running from os but only appears on the lower half of the cervix.
(looks similar to a very thick vein under the tissue).
Top half of cervix from os is a pale pink colour.
Cervix is Swollen, feels large & mushy/soft.
Cervix completely smooth to touch.
I didn't feel or see any bumps, lumps or white/red spots, only that bluish-purple discolouration on the lower half.


Should I be worried? What causes that discolouration? No period yet but neg hpt? ???

hi,dear.you should not be worried about your menses getting delayed,sometimes due to anxiety and some seasonal variation can cause a delay in periods.and before menses the cervical mucous become thick and the amount may increase.the line which you see might be a vein which is visible so nothing to worry about it.and if you think you are pregnent then after 7 days of missing a period we usually go for urine preg test.so stay calm and relaxed.drink ginger tea and fruits rich in vit c.it will help you getting your period on time.
