Heavy, Brown Tissuey Spotting Before Periods Followed By Normal Periods Only During Uriantion. Is This Due To Quitting Smoking?

this month, a week before my period i had what was like heavy spotting. just brown tissuey spotting. I got my period, but it really only flowed when i was urinating. WHen it did come out, it was heavy, dark, and thick like normal. Im worried I might be pregnant because for the last month or so I have felt sick almost every day. But i have also just quit smoking. COuld that be part of it? any advice?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The effect of quitting smoking can at times show on the menstrual cycle due to a change or imbalance in hormone levels, so if this has lasted only for a few days I would advise you to wait it out. But if it has been more than 30 days, then please do conduct a home pregnancy test using an early morning urine sample or report to a doctor.
