I AM 49 YRS OLD.PAST 2YRS MY PERIOD IS SOMETIME NORMAL OR HEAVY BLEEDING.I DID ULTRA SOUND AND MRI THIS MONTH.RESULT SHOWS ENDOMETRIUM THICKENING AND ADENOMYOSIS.MY DOCTOR ADVICE TO TAKE TAB PRIMOLUTE 5MG 3 TID FOR 10 DAYS.TODAY MY 5TH DAY PERIOD HEAVY BLEEDING.WHEN I HAVE TO START THE TABLET? ANY OTHER ADVICE ?

If you are heavily bleeding,t hen you should start the tablets right off for 10 days.
Otherwise, generally as a long term treatment measure for adenomyosis and endometrial hyperplasia, progesterone is given cyclically each month for 10 days from 15th day of period till the 25th day.
