Heavy Periods, Dizzy, Nausea. Taking Birth Control. Any Ideas?
Hi, for the last two months I have had heavy periods twice a month and felt very light headed, dizzy, and nauseous..is this normal? I am currently on birth control- the IUD for 10 years non hormonal, have been on this birth control for the last three years but this is the first time my periods have been this heavy, shown twice a month, never been dizzy like this before
Hi dear user, thanks for your query. As per your history, you are using IUD. Irregular bleeding may be due to IUD or some other pathology. IN my opinion you should get your baseline investigations such as hemoglobin, coagulation profile, blood sugar, T3, T4 TSH, USG-uterus adnexa, done. If all these comes out to be normal then you can take tranaxemic acid tablets 500 mg thrice daily for 3 days.
Hope this helps.
