Hematoma On Left Hip, Tripled After Falling Down. Should I Meet A Doctor For Checking Infection Or Blood Clots?
My dad fell last Thursday, he has a very large hematoma on his left hip. It's tripled in since in the last 24 hours. He's already been to the doctor to rule out a broken or dislocated hip. Should be concerned about any kind of infection, or blood clots in his leg? Most importantly should I get him back into the doctor to get it checked out again?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. The large that is gradually increasing in size needs an immediate medical attention. This is suggestive of an active bleeding in the area. The cause needs to be detected to stop the bleeding. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
