Hemorrhoids After Bowel Movement. Itching On Penis With No Other Symptoms. Dermatologist Gave Clotrimazole Which Aggregated Itching. Should I Stop Cleaning With Soap?

Hi, in the last couple of years I started getting hemorhoids, which led me to washing my anus after every bowel movement. After I wash my anus the feces tend to go on my testicles and penis. So, after I wash my anus, I wash my penis and testicles with soap. A couple of weeks ago I started getting an itch on my penis on the glands, no other symptoms. I went to a dermatologist and he said it's nothing and he told me to wash my penis twice a day with soap and prescribed me clotrimazole. Clotrimazole made the itch much worse. So my question is should I stop washing my penis with soap after every bowel movement? Because I think the itch is from the soap. I have 2 bowel movements a day, sometimes 3.

It is not required to wash with soap after every bowel movement. It may sometimes cause irriatation due to over-usage of soap. And if you think that soap is the cause, better don't wash with soap, instead use only water.

Since your doctor has prescribed clotrimazole, you may be having fungal infection, follow up for that.
