Hernia, Oesophagitis And Tear Near Herniation Site. Taking Naproxen. Best Diet?

I was rushed to Hospital 8 days ago, following Gastric Bleed due to long term use of NSAIDS, was on 500mg oral Naproxen 3 times per day, for over a year. I had a GOP, Diagnosed with : Hernia 5cm, Oesophagitis and tear seen near herniation site. What is best Diet at present? Please advise, Caroline. Email: YYYY@YYYY

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

You should be aware that your condition without proper treatment (not diet only) will not get better.
I hope you have been prescribed with antacid medicines (Omeprasole 40 mg 1x1 for 30 days is advisable). I also hope that there was Helicobacter Pylori test performed (if positive antibiotics therapy is advisable). It is also advisable in your case to have endoscopy repeated after the end of the treatment.
If it is about diet you should avoid NSAID medicines and if using such medicines, Omeprasole or any other antacid medicine should be used as well. Coffee, fatty foods, soft drinks, fruit juices and chocolate should be avoided. Hot foods should not be used for a couple of days as such foods can make bleeding recur.
