High BP, Was On Hydrochlorothiazide, With Dizziness And No BP Control. Please Advise.
I discovered I had high blood pressure was put on a med but that make me dizzy and gave me a headache and pressure was not lower, now on hydrochlorothiazide, head still feels dizzy and pressure is still 191/91 on pulse gone to 97. really concerned what can I DO

Hi. Welcome to HCM. You should mention your age and sex for any queries. Dizziness and headache could be due to uncontrolled hypertension. Hypertension or high BP is of two types one is primary HTN where cause is not known and the second one is called secondary HTN where cause for HTN is identifiable. U are already on 2 medications hydrochlorothiazide and other ones name u have not mentioned. your BP should have been under control by now, but it is not. There are many medications to control BP. U should definitely be concerned and i will suggest u to consult a good physician and he may change the medication or he may give a combination of medications which can control your high BP. If u r diabetic then please be more alert about your BP as u fall in to high risk group. Regards
