High Blood Pressure. Taking Ace Inhibitor Medication. Blood Pressure, Cholesterol Test Normal. Causes For High BP?

i got a physical 4 months ago and was fine with blood pressure and cholesterol . I eat right and excercise all the time. I took my blood pressure recently and it was 162/102. I went to the doctor and she put me on an ace inhibitor which I really did not want to take. Why all of a sudden did my health change for the worse?

Hello Sin,
Welcome here on hcm.
It is not proper to think of High BP at once on one time BP 1621/102.
You have to take daily BP for 7 days and make a chart than come here to make a diagnosis.
The BP should be taken after full15 minute bed rest.
