High Viral Fever, Applying Ice Cloth On Head. Calpol Can Be Given Every 6-8 Hrs?

Hi Dr My daughter is 2years n 9 months old.I live in UAE as weather changed she caught viral..having fever n cold .was giving calpol 100mg bottle one every 6 to 8 hrs giving 7ml calpol.is it correct.secondly I also kept water salt n ice clothon her head.still she is having 102 degree.wht to do.its 5o clock am over here wil go to the Dr tomorrow morning.plz YYYY@YYYY

Hi
Syrup Calpol can be given in prescribed dosage every 6th hourly if there is fever. And if there is high grade fever you give tepid sponging with normal or lukewarm water and not with the ice water as it causes rebound increase in the temperature.
