History Of Tacycardia, Contracted Parvovirus B19, Feeling Lethargic, Muscle/joint Pain. Will Gamma Globulin Injection Help?

My daughter is 36 years old with a history of tacycardia. She contracted parvovirus B19 in May and has been seriously ill since then. The virus is still circulating in her system and she is lethargic and has sporatic muscle/joint pain. As of right now she only has the virus and she is gradually improving - not feeling better, but the numbers of the virus still circulating in her blood stream have gone from 46 to 34. The infectious disease doc and rheumatologist have mentioned gamma globulin injections to help her system fight. What would be your opinion on this - especially with her heart history?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The gamma globulin injections can help in decreasing the viral load but the generalized symptoms that you are having like muscle or joint pains will gradually improve over 4-5 weeks.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
