Hot Flushes, Sweating And Feeling Extremely Cold. Due To Caffeine?

I have terrible and embarassing hot flushes that cause terrible sweating not just at night but during the day when I am at work and talking to people. I have tried all kinds of products and nothing works. I don't want to cut out coffee as I only have two max a day and I don't drink much either. When the hot flush passes I am freezing. So I am going from one extreme to the other and at night I hardly get any sleep because they wake me up all the time.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to HCM

You are having symptoms like hot flushes, sweating, insomnia most of the time of a day. The symptoms are due to anxiety. Anxiety may get aggravated by coffee, but you are taking two cups a day and its not a high amount. Most likely anxiety is due to some other non specific cause. Visit a Psychiatrist for expert opinion.
Non Medicinal treatment as Behavior therapy, relaxation exercises help to decrease anxiety.
Medicines like SSRI, SNRI are also useful.

Thanks
