How Accurate Is Urine Test For Chlamydia And HSV2?

I recently went in for an annual STD testing to after my ex boyfriend had cheated on me. We split in July and I had never found any symptoms. After my appointment, I was called back and told I tested positive for Chlamydia and HSV2. But I keep reading everywhere that with Urine tests for HSV2 aren t very accurate and can come back with false positive results.. Is that true? I ve NEVER had any symptoms, and IF I have it, it s been months now, with no medications or anyting... Are urine tests accurate for herpes testing?

Urine tests are indeed used for herpes testing but do have a failure rate that can result in both false-positive and a false-negative as well.

I would thus recommend the herpes serum tests as well. Hope this helps.
