How Can belly Button Discharge Be Treated?

I am a 46 year old female in good health, a little over weight, but in good health. I have been experiencing some leakage, drainage or discharge from my belly button, and I have mentioned this to the doctor when I have appointments, but every time I go to the doctor everything seems to be just fine. Therefore the doctor has never been able to tell what could be wrong with me. Also, just recently, I have been having some pain when I urinate or take a bowel movement, but the pain is in front, it s almost as if I am pulling on a vein or something???

Hello,

Discharge from belly button most of the times is due to fungal infection locally. You can try to use some miconazole cream locally twice a day combined with a steroid cream like hydrocortisone twice a day(very thin layers) for a week.
Also it is good to wash the area and gently dry it before applying the creams trying to gently remove all the dead skin and other materials that might lay there.
Wear cotton vests and shirts to help it keep dry.

I hope I have answered to your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
