How Can HGH Levels Be Monitored?

I have done the test to see if my endocrine system is producing HGH and thyroid hormones in response to the stimulating hormones. My response was flat. My doctors try to monitor my levels, but I think they re missing something. My latest test had a normal IGF1 but the GH was 1, which the report said was normal. I recently read an article that said the only way to test HGH was with a stimulation test. I also produce almost no cortisol or DHEA. I take Prednisone and DHEA for those but am still extremely weak and tire easily. I m also losing muscle mass. Is there a way to monitor my HGH or do I need to do the stimulation test again? We re trying to be sure I m on the right dosage.

Hello,

Yes there are tests for growth hormone levels like:

1 The GH suppression test, which lowers the amount of GH.
2.The IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 tests, which check the amount of a different but related hormones.
3.Tests to check for issues with other hormones, including cortisol, prolactin, and testosterone. Why you taking above medication?

Have you diagnosed case of growth hormone deficiency. Please once again check you growth hormone status, serum cortisol and insulin like growth factor level. Please consult your Endocrinologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

Growth hormone stimulation test is done to find out if the pituitary gland is releasing growth hormone (GH) in the right amounts. If it is normal means then don't worry. I thinks you have more adrenergic failure rather than pituitary failure. Yes weakness or loss of muscle mass can be seen in cortisol deficiency. please consult your endocrinologist he can do growth hormone suppression test then treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
