How Can HIV Be Diagnosed?

Hi Doc
I have been dating my girlfriend for 3 months,she tested negative in May and i tested on the 30 june and the results were negative.We stopped using proctection since i got my result,she went for hiv test yesterday and it came out positive with a faint line.Suppose she is positive could i be infected?

Hello,

If she tested positive, then you are at risk of getting an infection. You and your girlfriend should visit a physician and get the proper tests done. Home-based kits have not much sensitivity.
