How Can I Avoid Frequent Urinary Infections ?

Every year I always get urinary tract infection and just recently I had it again and the pus cells in my urine is plenty plus there is blood in it. The discomfort is so terrible that i have to take leave for 3 days. Can you give any suggestions as to avoid having this infection again? Maribeth

Having pus and blood in the urine is suggestive of Kidney stones possibly in the Ureter or Urinary bladder. You need to get an X-ray abdomen and/or ultrasound to confirm dear. Get the investigations as required by the Urologist. Drink plenty of water and drink cranberry juice which helps to fight infections and prevent the symptoms.
