How Can I Reduce Pain On The Right Side Of My Left Knee?

I have pain on the right side of my left knee. When I first get up it hurts to walk but will get better as I walk, although the pain is still there but not to bad. Sometimes the top of the knee will hurt until I bend it or straighten it just the right way. I am 58 and like to run but this is stopping me. It came on after I worked on my deck and had to do a lot of up and down bending and kneeling.

Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to knee sprain.

For that you can take tablet acetaminophen for pain. Apply diclofenac gel or ointment locally. Heating pads or icing will also help.

Along with that avoid up and down stairs. In case of not getting relief, kindly do MRI knee after orthopedician consultation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
