Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Joint pain associated with night sweats are suggestive of possible autoimmune disease or infection. You say that she has had low blood count - Here I need t stop and ask which blood cells were low? Had transfusion 1 unit blood - still wondering what was the cause of her low blood count? Is any site of hemorrhage (bleeding)? Sometimes, there is a reaction after blood transfusion, but what I think in your wife's case is related to her primary diagnosis. UTI still does not explain her problems.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
