Hello
thanks for using health care magic

Normally after 4 days of treatment, they should be some
relieve in his general state but cough could persist
( but mild ) for a little more days.

In my routine practice, i give amoxicillin trice daily.
The cough might become more cracking and not implying that
it is worsening but since you say he won't eat, it is likely
it is worsening and the amoxicillin is likely not working or not being
given at the right dose.

Another drug that could be added is azithromycin 250mg suspension
to be taken once daily for three days. It could offer better outcome.

Best regards
