How Can A Painful Bruise On The Buttocks Be Treated?

Yesterday I slipped and fell outside onto a small mound of ice and snow, landing on lower left buttock. Since then, I have had slowly increasing pain, it now hurts when I stand up, just sitting in a recliner. I see a small amount of bruising and it is tender to touch, on the outside posterior, just below my left buttock. Suggestions?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is nothing but a collection of blood underneath the skin that developed following the trauma.

Generally, it will settle by itself and as a first line if management you can take analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase combination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
